RLLD 3,985 Posted January 14 I fully expect the questioning to be unfriendly from Democrats, their goal is to impede the delivery of value to the average American; this serves their power strategy. I would prefer they focus on relevant factors, but alas, they only know to smear and besmirch. It often appears as though actual policy and thought escape their grasp. squistion 1,776 Posted January 14 https://x.com/AhmedBaba_/status/1879232077947867365 If you tuned into this Pete Hegseth hearing with no context, you would think the greatest threat to America’s national security is too many Black people, women, and trans people in the military. These Senate Republicans are consuming their own disinformation. They look crazy.

Prez gets to pick people for the gigs and none of the stuff that I heard brought up is disqualifying.

I find the financial mismanagement at two veterans organizations enough to tell me that he's not a good pick for this job. And that's in addition to the fact that he doesn't have the military experience to lead the Pentagon. Terrible pick-not surprising from Trump---he saw the guy on TV and that's enough for him. Yeah he may end up being terrible. But if the majority wants to vote him to the job that’s the way it works. That Trump watched him on Fox and Friends while taking his morning dumps was the biggest factor in him getting the gig is crazy but it’s where we are. Must see. “Im not a General man”. It’s all part of the drama. I caught a woman Senator Dem near the end who was asking some good questions and had to keep cutting him off. They have their 8 minutes or whatever so they want to get through their script. He was answering well, she was correctly calling him out. The next guy up had a funny line using his last name “Sheehy” but then spent his time asking how many pushups Drunk Pete did today and what caliber ammo various weapons use. It’s all a show largely. He didn’t shet the bed so he will get the job regardless of how unqualified he may be.

She wouldn’t allow him to answer her questions and constantly interrupted him. The say”yes or no” questioning by a few of them were pathetic not allowing him to explain his position on this matter they asked. I know they only have seven minutes each to question him, but that was pathetically partisan.
