Another "I thought he already died" moment for me...

I liked his autobiography Catcher in the Wry. Full of self-deprecating humor. There was one photo of him sliding into home, and his caption read something like: "Here's me going from 3rd base to home on my teammate's triple...safe on a close play" :D

He's in the front row now. RIP

Do yourself a flavor and catch Bob on Carson in YT.

This guy was just naturally funny.

Lots of chuckles in Heaven today.

One of the funniest guys ever.  He deserves that seat in the front row.

The one and only good thing about the Brewers.  Very sad.  One of my absolute favorites.  He will be missed

He use to help host an MS society bike ride around Milwaukee's 76 trail, a trail built for the bicentennial which is 76 miles long and connects severeal of Milwaukee's City partks (Don't know if its true anymore but Milwaukee used to devote more City land to parks than any municipality in America)  My pops, a physician and active in the MS Society always rode in teh event.  One year i was back home during the time the ride was scheduled.   My Dad got me to ride it with him.  We showed up early as my Dad hsad a pass for VIP parking.  Uecker was there and they knew each other from planning for the event.  My pops introduced me.  After the ride Uecker was still around at the grandstand, entertaining the crod as finishers came across the line.  We hung out and when he ws done I got to share a beer with him.  Nice fella.  Very gracious.

For years, I've been watching Brewer games by getting the stream but listening to his radio call. One of the best HR calls in baseball, He will be missed dearly by those of us from Wisconsin who grew up listening to him. It's tough to think he never got to call and celebrate a winning World Series.  :(

RIP Mr. Baseball.
