I have four inches of snow and they are expected much more. It’s so very beautiful. Picturesque beauty. Beyond amazing. It’s a winter wonderland here. This hasn’t happened in over a hundred years. It’s like out of Dickinson novel. The film of the Quarter is amazing.

Many consider Antoine's Restaurant in New Orleans to be a "tourist trap," primarily because of its high prices, reputation for catering heavily to tourists, and the perception that the food quality might not always match the price tag.

NW Florida is a scary place to drive today. No salt on the roads makes it slippery and slidy (it that's a word) and every car out there is driven by someone clueless on how to handle it.

I used to live in St. Pete. Spent 3 years there. It's all a bunch of lead foot idiot drivers. They know nothing else. A bunch of them die in car crashes. Good for them.

Camillia Grille was a pretty cool, lowkey breakfast experience.  Streetcar/trolley from bourbon st (canal?) goes through some cool areas on the way.

Meh. I've been to half of those. Not all that great. But, they are New Orleans. Which isn't great for food other than a few decent places. Most of it is crap down there. Been there done that.

Ditto...New Orleans was lame.  I'm sure I just saw the "touristy" spots but the french quarter....was a bar, an adult establishment, then a bar, then another adult establishment.  The bars were over priced and the place smelled like piss.

Did find a bar with some cool live music though.   However I have zero desire to go back.

Oh yeah. For sure. Go once to say you been there. I had to travel there for about a year or so. Downtown. And it's gross. Food ain't great and "po'boys" are way worse than Jersey MIkes or even subway, but any city has one good restaurant or two but no chance New Orleans is like a city like Chicago or KC or such for food. You only go there to experience the surroundings. It's dirty and they have some decent graveyards. Oh, and yeah, they do have some good bars and wonderfully dirty women in them.

Jacgues-Imos for dinner. My favorite restaurant, and I’ve been to every great restaurants in my city

 It’s 29 degrees here and the snow on the ground is crazy. Almost a foot. Historical event here. A buddy of mine just called and said he was on Bourbon Street and was in the daiquiri shop and it is rocking. Freezing fawking cold and they’re drinking daiquiris. God bless New Orleans.

 OK. Where do I fawking begin with the last seventy hours of this incredible once in a lifetime experience down here in Louisiana. First Im out of beer. I have wine, and it’s a great backup. All the business are slowed since Monday along with all interstates, big local roadways, and most of our cities streets.When I got up yesterday morning around early lunch, it was really coming down. And it was coming in faster and quicker than me on a plumper on Thanksgiving mornings after eating their mom’s mashed potatoes. 
 

 Two- I have seventeen inches on my Lexus. I’m stranded at the drive-inn waiting for Sandy to save me for my alcohol run tomorrow. I’m waiting for Sandy Dee to clear thunder road. 
 

Three- My three Dobermans are finally getting this crazy weather. They, like all of us are enjoying. Kids are enjoying this more than they know, as are all of us parents. They will remember this there entire life. 
 

Four- Tonight is going to be the hard night with no fun. Freeze is here tonight. Alll of that ice is what all of most of you understand up north and beyond.

 Finally got to get out and about today to explore and get to the liquor store finally. The sun came this morning and melted the snow on the pavement/roads. The grass is still very snowy. Roofs, and trees. Fascinating days. So much to see from my perspective as someone here that has witnessed hurricanes, floods, and, whatever mother nature has thrown at us. This one ranks up as the fun one. And  it’s made entire gulf coasts enjoy where we live during this time.

Crazy that NOLA has several inches of snow on the ground and here in MN there's nada. It's cold AF, though.

We ended up with an unheard of 4" of snow and below freezing temperatures. That doesn't happen here, extremely rare. 

It melts and then freezes over. We don't have plows or salt trucks so we just wait it out.
