Leaked 'It Ends With Us' Clip Sheds New Light On Blake Lively's Harassment Claims Against Justin Baldoni

Recommended Posts

Anyone else following this? It looked initially like an actor/director being a douchbag but the more that comes out the more it looks like a #metoo hatchet job. She might as well be Amber Heard

The complaint, filed with the California Civil Rights Department on Dec. 20, accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during filming, as well as retaliation against Lively, after she raised issues about his on-set behavior. She alleged that Baldoni hired a crisis publicity firm to engage in a “social manipulation campaign” to smear her while they were promoting the film.

Baldoni bought the rights for the book through Wayfarer Studios in 2019. Plans surrounding its development, including Lively’s casting, had been a buzzed-about topic in the years leading up to the movie’s release.

But during the film’s media tour, fans began theorizing about dynamics between the stars behind the scenes. That led to a firestorm for Lively as an online narrative began to spread that accused her of being insensitive and controlling and of engaging in “mean girl” behavior.” She says Baldoni’s team fanned the flames to try to destroy her reputation, an allegation his attorney denies

That is exactly how it comes off to me. They both present themselves as being super nice and cool and she appears to be a real life mean girl.

The pod I heard on this portrayed it this way, so I'd say I'm biased in that direction

She apparently was pregnant during filming.  At some point he asked somebody (not her IIRC) how much she weighed, because there was a scene where he had to lift her.  This was part of her #metoo charge.  Ends up, he has some chronic back disc problem, and I think he ended up in the hospital after lifting her.

Ohhhhh so even if it comes out that the director did nothing wrong, she will 100 percent get a pass by blaming it on the pregnancy. She has her bases covered pretty well. The more I hear about both her and her husband the less I like of them .

I don't know who they are but I'm not siding with the adult woman who can't seem to handle a situation in life if indeed it came up. I worked with women who wouldn't focking stand for a wrong couple words from anyone if they didn't want to hear them. Because they are strong and independent. What is wrong with these Hollywood types whining incessantly? If someone doesn't cast you for a role because you won't sleep with them, then go find another job. Stop catering to an industry that allows that shlt to happen.I'm guessing though this woman is already famous somehow? What's her focking problem? Grow up.

There were also a few scenes where he wanted to add more physical stuff; kissing, a little more nudity, etc. He was trying to show that the two characters really had a lot of chemistry like they did in the book.

Justin Baldoni bought the rights to the book in 2019 and wrote the majority of the screenplay, while Blake wanted Ryan Reynolds to be involved, so he wrote a scene in the movie. So I think there's more going on. The scene Ryan wrote wasn't that great, IMO, and came off as really awkward.

Also, he original love interest in the movie, the antagonist to Blake/Justin's characters didn't get enough screen time IMO.

I read the book and the movie was just okay in comparison.

It all comes down to this: Do what they want you to do or don't do it and go get another role with conditions on what you are willing to do and not do. It's easy peasy.

She's really not that great of an actress, she's like her husband in that every movie he's in, it's the SAME guy.

Watch his movie, "Waiting" and then watch "Deadpool." Same guy.

That is how I feel about Jim Carey. He plays 2 characters but mostly it is the same one over and over.

With the exception of him playing Andy Kaufman, I 100% agree.

Blake Lively is the same; from Gossip Girl to It Ends With Us, her entire career is the same character.  It sucks because one of my favorite movies is "The Age of Adeline" and she's the main character...but it's tough to watch her in it.

I liked him in the first half of Dumb and Dumber. But that's about it. His schtick got old fast.

I really liked him in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind and the Truman show.   When he plays non funny characters, he's pretty good.   Yeah, not a lot of range there, but good characters and he played them well.

That is one of his 2 characters.  I loved the Truman show and I really thought fun with and jane was pretty funny. He just does not have very good range. He plays Ace ventura in like 80 percent of his movies.
