Seems I was mistaken about previous buy-in.  While I still vote for $10 per square I'd be fine with $5 if that means more ppl get involved.

I think $5 is the sweet spot. You rich folk can buy multiples.

Considering we are down to maybe 20 people that post here. That is 5 per person to fill it.

But that's the entire point of squares.  If you win, say, the annual NFL playoff fantasy pool, you have the pride of having bested your peers, and you are commemorated for all time in the list of champions.

There is no pride in a random square happening to contain the score at the end of a quarter.

To each their own, but for me it isn't about "skill" or anything. 

For me at least It just makes the game more fun - especially if you don't care who wins - as you can at least think "well sh1t, hope they have to settle for a FG before the quarter ends" 

Hopefully this year I WILL care who wins.

Maybe I didn't word it well but... if no money or anything else is on the line, why do you care if they kick that field goal before or after the quarter break, to hit your square?

If no money is involved then yes I wouldn't care.   Just gives me something to root for when I ultimately don't care who wins.
