They will need both, Richardson will never be able to play a full season.

Richardson is out of a job. He can't beat out Danny Dimes in Camp.

Bye bye Anthony!

Agreed. Richardson can’t pass.

part of Danny dimes problem was a bad o line in New York.

It wouldnt surprise me to find out he can actually perform better in this offense.   The only question is, is that good enough?    That still remains to be seen.

I agree. I think Dimes was handed a bag of shizz in NY. The Indy offense is based on quick reads and getting rid of the ball fast. Richardson cannot process, there's no way he beats Dimes out.

That whole offense has been badly mismanaged in New york since they Drafted him

and honestly they drafted/signed well regarded O line guys gut they never panned out.   I dont think that was a drafting issue, I suspect it was more of a player development issue and possibly a coaching issue.

dont get me wrong I still think there are things that he could have done better, but I also think the team didnt give him a reasonable chance to be the best version of himself either.

It is now to a point where  they may have ruined him as a player but hes still shown flashes from time to time, so I think its a good gamble.  if he doesnt win the starting job, he will just be a high priced backup.   Realistically I think he throws a more accurate ball than Richardson does but hes not quite as good at running with the ball.

That said, the O line there is miles ahead of where the O line was in New York so I suspect hes gonna look better there if he wins the starting job.

if he does win the starting Job I'd consider picking him up in my superflex league.   I'd probably be able to get him as my QB3.    I think he does have the upside where that is potentially a bargain.    I fully agree hes boom or bust, but as a QB3 you likely cannot find better upside than what he provides.

It's a really decent offense, especially if they add Warren or Loveland

I actually like the WR there.

The offense will actually be balanced with multiple good pass catchers.    This actually plays to Jones skillset more as teams cant just double cover his #1 WR.   so if he properly goes through his progressions he should put up better numbers.   It is not a given that he beats out Richardson.   but if it happens, he might be a nice late pick in a superflex format.

if your league only starts one QB he will continue to be irrelevant other than maybe a matchup play to cover a bye week or injury.

And those WRs will be happy to have a Qb that can complete a forward pass.
