Transgender runner blows out competition, he sets season records in girls' races at Oregon high school track meet 🌈

It looks to me that even as you claim you don't support trannies in women's sports, you guys have never demonstrated any indication that it bothers you in the slightest. Further, whenever anyone suggests the competition is unfair and should be made illegal, you attack the messenger.

For our part, this is electoral gold. Instead of letting sanity reign, changing the law, and putting this issue behind you for the good of female athletes, the country, and your own electoral hopes, the politicians you guys support obstruct it at every turn.

So. we'll just keep ringing that bell over and over because elections are won with it. Meanwhile you can keep pretending to not be cheering on your tranny heroes and wishing we'd shut up about it.

Disappointed that you've now become part of the idiot rabble that claims to know what I'm thinking. Like them, you're way off. If you'd like to have a discussion I'm game but not if you're gonna pull this bullshit.

I could turn it around and say something about you pretending not to cheer on heinous things MAGA does, but it's probably not worth the time. Keep ringing your bell.

To be fair, the point of bringing up the number of threads is not because of the number of threads - directly at least.  The point of running in right away and scoffing at another thread being made is to shift the focus away from whether boys should play girls sports and turn it into, "omg, you're so obsessed.  Omg," which easier for the lefties.  Good little strawman which allows them to bury their heads in the sand.

More bullshit. I've challenged several people to find a SINGLE post in which someone states support for men in women's sports and sure enough, nobody (not you) has.

The point of scoffing at the threads is that Maxipad, among others, spams the hell out of the forum with them so they can be bigoted asses about it. They act as though this is the biggest crisis we've ever faced, which is beyond absurd. If you're looking for a strawman, you constructed one of your own.

I have no doubt that a large portion of the wokies think it's messed up, but this is one of those situations similar to jab mandates where the usual suspects spend 10 words voicing some amount of disagreement and 1000 words distracting and excusing and explaining making sure to signal their virtue.

I get it.  It's the NPCs that aren't confident enough to stray from the narrative.  They know, but they can't say it with their chest for fear of the wrath of the mob, and the lefty reactions in this thread are a result... Mocking someone putting a spotlight on something that we all agree is messed up.

The better course of action would be to just not say anything so like in this thread all of you guys' explaining and mocking won't be confused for support for this stuff since it sure looks like it.

Sorry. the first few lines were solid but I went too far at the end. I should do better to check myself when talking to the better left- wing posters if I ever want to have a decent conversation. Thanks for calling me out and keeping me in line.

To be fair, although I took a break for a bit so not sure what exactly Tranny Overkill has been up to recently, most of his threads in the past weren’t about trannies in sports. IIRC, they were often just some random undated picture that sometimes wasn’t even from the US

You're virtue signaling as well. Like most issues, those surrounding transsexuals are nuanced. No, we don't want biological men in women's sports. No, we don't want sex offenders sharing bathrooms with our kids. We don't want teachers or doctors withholding information about our kids.

But we also don't want them treated like animals and scapegoated. IDGAF if some parents are ok with surgery or hormones for their kids, it's their choice. Also don't care about "tranny story hour" as long as the kids and parents consent to participate.

This NPC shlt only serves division.

I mostly agree with you on this.  However, would you be okay with Jesus story hour as long as the kids and parents consent at a public school?

To be honest, I don't think we should be promoting Trannies or the LGBTQ agenda at all.  Like anywhere, especially around kids.  They are too easily influenced and are way too young to understand the complexities and nuances of that type of stuff.  I firmly believe that it has turned into an indoctrination movement.  And that's just not for the LGBTQ crowd, I'm talking about religious and political zealots as well.  I think kids should get the basics until they are out of high school.

Who's "we"?

And no it's not ok with parents playing God with their kids' sex. It should not be any adults choice to fock with a kid like that. '

You are one sick little man.

The parents choice to mutilate their underage kid? What a sicko.

You can't have it both ways though. Throwing a wig on a dude and giving him hormones doesn't make them a Woman. It's still a man in a Woman's Bathroom.

Do Liberals ever stop and think to ask Women how they feel? I can tell you that I have a lot of Women in my life, none of which are cool with Men in their bathrooms no matter how they look.

You are trying to talk reason to a guy who admits he is fine if parents mutilate their kids and pump them full of who knows what drugs. You can't change the mind of a sick person like that.

That's a whole lotta bullshit to cram into a single post. Well done.

You should take the tranny challenge! Show me a post- JUST ONE POST from someone on this forum that specifically states they support biological men playing women's sports. I've never seen it, and even the hardened lefties don't support it. @MDC doesn't support it either.

As the father of a daughter, I do not support it. If I did not have a daughter, I wouldn't support it. The vast majority of Americans, including libs, do not support it. Quit lying.

Incredibly stupid response. MDC spends an incredible amount of his free time attacking the messenger in these types of threads. Every instance should have a light shined on it. MDC and his kind have some sort of issue with these stories being shared.

This should be the biggest bipartisan issue in this country, there should be zero tolerance when it comes to men invading girl\female spaces.

I do thank you though, it's better for our society when your ilk expose themselves.

There is a third option where they agree that such participation is inexcusable.  Instead we get folks like @Sean Mooneysaying that he has daughters, but he doesn't care about this issue until we solve women's health, world hunger, and climate change.  :dunno:

@Sean Mooney doesn't have a Daughter or a Wife. Otherwise, he'd be infuriated by the mere thought of penisess in Girls bathrooms.

Please find the exact quote where I said I don't care about this issue until we do other things.....I'll hang up and wait.

And for the record- here is my initial post in this thread- when you were asking I'd like to hear from someone from daughters who doesn't think this is a big issue.

Quote

I have daughters. I guess you'd have to define "big issue" to me. Because I feel like the sports thing affects a portion of their life and the women's health things will affect them longer. So I'd consider the latter a bigger issue to me.

I think it is something that should be addressed with transgender women competing but I do think it is not an issue to the level that one would think it is if they popped in here for a few days. And I think we could probably all agree that Overkill is weirdly obsessed with the issue.

I'm trying to picture this happening 50 years ago when I was in high school.  I am guessing the brothers and boyfirends of the female athletes would have seen to it that the usurper would not have made it to the meet in any shape to compete.  Now noting how times have changed does not mean I am advocating violence as a solution or a response now, I am simply noting how times have changed.

Good question. If it was after hours in a faith-based club, I have no problem with it. It has to be voluntary. During Covid, we sent our daughter to a Catholic preschool because her regular school shut down completely. I am not anti-religion; it just isn't for me. When my daughter started asking questions about Jesus and Christianity we tried to answer her in a way that did not dissuade her from pursuing what is right for her in the future. We didn't bash the beliefs and were clear about how many people embrace and appreciate their faith.

I had it shoved down my throat as a kid by overzealous evangelical grandparents that saw evil in everything; my grandmother threw away my He-Man toys during the 80s satanic panic because they promoted witchcraft. All she accomplished was making me interested in figuring out what the big deal was. By the time I was in high school I was reading books by Aleister Crowley and Anton LaVey and celebrating the music of Ozzy, Sabbath, and Alice Cooper. I do not want to demonize anything to the point where my kids are seeking it out like I did.

Completely agree with your last sentence.

I appreciate the thoughtful response and it sounds like you and I are in agreement here, which is good.

Seriously, your upbringing sounds EXACTLY like mine, except it was my Mom and Baptist churches and not my grandparents (who themselves were devout, but not oppressive, Catholics).

The Satanic Panic was a real thing in our household.

You and I agreeing is a great example to everyone that we all agree on a lot more than we disagree on. Apparently GC folks just enjoy arguing about politics, which is fine. I try to always keep that in mind and not vilify those that disagree with me unless they are also unrepentant a-holes that make incorrect assumptions about me and get personally ugly. Appreciate that you and I have been able to overcome that.

To the discussion @Fnord and @EternalShinyAndChrome are having...they do have clubs in schools (both middle school and high school primarily) that are Christian based and they occur before or after school.

I'm a practicing Christian and both my daughters go to church with my wife and I every Sunday so I wouldn't personally have a problem with Jesus time Story Hour at school, but I would whole-heartedly defend the right of someone who did not want their kid to be a part of it. Just cause something works for me does not mean it works for someone else and vice versa.

I guess my thing would be what do we mean by indoctrinating kids on LGBTQ stuff? I mean it's not like there are assemblies happening regularly where we are promoting LGBTQ people. Most of anything in a school is more towards the teachers and how we are to provide a safe space for students in that bucket. Which should be the role of any teacher for any student. There is entirely too much fearmongering from politicians- on both sides- on the issue here and it leads to unproductive discussions.

We're going to go all @squistionon the semantics?

Your first paragraph is still word salad to me vis a vis the topic, but by any intelligent attempt to parse it:  by saying I'd need to define big issue, then providing another (unrelated) issue as an example of a bigger issue, you are implicitly saying that men in women's sports does not meet the criteria of "big issue" for you.

No it doesn't mean that. Again- I'm objecting to you saying anyone with daughters should see this as a major issue and then when they bring up something else they see as a major issue for women you just want to blow that off.

Again- I never said transgenders competing in women's sports is not an issue and should be ignored. But I don't think it is the biggest issue facing my daughters right now....unless are you going to argue again about this being an existential crisis?

Robert Hunter penned a song titled Cruel White Water.  In it there is a line that states he heard "some talk of deviation, but from what was never mentioned, so he set out to find the wrong way home."  That line resonated with my attitudes as a teenager and it seems it may have for you as well.

Absolutely. Some of it may be learned or even hereditary. As my father loves to say "just tell a {last name redacted} they can't do something, and we'll say 'fuk you, watch me!'"

It would seem as though I come from a lineage of folks that don't like being told what to do or think. I once did a presentation in class excoriating religion and blaming most of the world's problems on it as a HS student in a small town in rural MN. Since I was a teen, I lacked the self awareness to realize how much I probably offended many of my classmates and teachers, or how ignorant and simplistic my conclusions were.

Around that same time as that marketing campaign was launched Wisconsin launched its Escape to Wisconsin campaign.  Some folks cut up the bumper stickers like a ransom note, rearranged the letters and came up with Wisconsin, cos cows is nice!  Quite the bumper sticker that was.
