I've tried to watch Citizen Kane four times and fell asleep all four times.

Never saw that one. Hmm...

I can't remember Gorky Park. At the time that was a big one. I'll have to rewatch that to see.

This is a good pick.

Touch of Evil by Orson Wells is great, if you haven’t seen it.

The Matrix, Fight Club, and everything Tarantino did.

What? I usually agree with you on most things, how is this possible? I love all...

The Matrix, Fight Club, Kill Bill 2, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs...
Did you like American Psycho? Being John Malkovich? Se7en?

I really love Robert Deniro and I like Jodi Foster but never got into Taxi Driver.

Goonies is the worst movie ever made. I loved it as a kid. I watched it with MY kid and it was cringe from start to finish. My 11 year old was asking why I even liked this crap.

They’re edgy, dated and just cringe.

I like Being John Malcovich and Se7en is stupid fun. American Psycho is cringe too.

At the time it wasn’t too bad, but if one would catch it now for the first time, I could definitely see that…

You both like to delete embarrassing threads too.

all of those movies that caught you with the wow factor are obvious

Sixth Sense

The Usual Suspects (doesn't suck just not the same)

Planet of the Apes

but basically almost every 80's movie when I watch them now are totally cringe, I tried to have my 13 year old watch The Lost Boys (my favorite movie as a Teen) and god that was horrible

Omg, I used to love that movie but can't watch more than 10 minutes of it now.

My kids watched “The Breakfast Club” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and loved them…

One big difference from 80s movies are the soundtracks…. They aren’t done any more but were used to advance the story…

I doubt I can get them to watch “The Lost Boys”, though I still like the movie, but I think because of the soundtrack…. Same with “The Wraith”…

I find The French Connection completely unwatchable.

That’s too bad. I’ve had that on my “must watch someday” list for ages. I recently saw The Conversation with Gene Hackman and loved it.
