Judge Hannah Dugan arrested by FBI for allegedly helping undocumented immigrant 'evade arrest

Recommended Posts

Milwaukee County circuit judge was arrested by the FBI over allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest, federal authorities said.

Judge Hannah Dugan was charged with two criminal counts of "obstructing and impeding a proceeding before a department or agency of the United States" and "concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest," according to a criminal complaint unsealed Friday.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrest earlier Friday in a social media post, which was briefly deleted and reposted.

"Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week," Patel said in the new post. "We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest."

The FBI has arrested Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan for allegedly helping an immigrant avoid capture.

History lesson: In 1944, Victor Kugler and Johannes Kleiman were arrested and sent to concentration camps for the "crime" of hiding Anne Frank and her family.

Maybe if our government stopped shipping innocent immigrants off to foreign torture prisons — shredding the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments — Americans wouldn’t have to risk everything to protect them.

I would consider helping someone too if I thought they could be sent to a foreign prison without due process and be taken away from their kids for life. Sorry but not sorry.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin:

"In the United States, we have a system of checks and balances and separations of power for damn good reasons. The President's administration arresting a sitting judge is a gravely serious and drastic move, and it threatens to breach those very separations of power. Make no mistake, we do not have kings in this country."

Yep!  Right here in  Milwaukee County.  This is excellent news.  The more we go after these traitors, the better.  And a judge, no less.  Just like that Judge down in New Mexico - Joel Cano.

Yes, you have made it clear you are a man of principles.  It is also clear that actually acting upon your principles is something you will not do.  You will consider and then dismiss the idea of personal sacrifice.

The corrupt judge has not been disappeaarerd, executed, or taken to a gulag without due process.  She will be arraigned and tried before another judge, and given the right to appeals.  This is not a serious and drastic move threatening the separation of powers, rather it is a serious and drastic move to protect the bench from the corruption of a judge who thinks she is a queen, who thinks she is above the law.

"When the officer replied they were there to make an arrest, the complaint alleges Judge Dugan asked if they had a judicial warrant, to which the officer responded, "No I have an administrative warrant."

This is a problem for the DOJ, not the judge.

This is definitely true - ignoring the law, being sued, losing, and then backtracking the illegal action will be before more than one judge and it is going to be very costly.

Corruption. Really. Do you think she was paid to allow him exit the courtroom through a side door?

Yep. But who really cares why she did it? String her up in the parking lot for all to see.

Apparently the DOJ does, they filed an Affidavit about it.

I am familiar with the layout of the sixth floor of the courthouse and know that the south elevators are not the closest elevators to Courtroom 615, and therefore it appears that Flores-Ruiz and his counsel elected not to use the closest elevator bank to Courtroom 615.

Buddy, you're not gonna be in the courtroom. The basis of the arrest is that the wanted individual went to a different elevator than the one closest to the courtroom.

But hey, have fun stormin' the castle...

Another attorney ("Attorney C"), who was in Courtroom 615 on April 18, 2025, to represent a client, also advised case agents that he observed Judge DUGAN forcefully direct two individuals, a man and a woman, to leave through the jury door. Attorney C indicated that this was done with a "stern" tone.

After leaving the Chief Judge's vestibule and returning to the public hallway, DEA Agent A reported that Flores-Ruiz and his attorney were in the public hallway. DEA Agent B also observed Flores-Ruiz and his attorney in the hallway near Courtroom 615 and noted that Flores Ruiz was looking around the hallway. From different vantage points, both agents observed Flores Ruiz and his counsel walk briskly towards the elevator bank on the south end of the sixth floor. I am familiar with the layout of the sixth floor of the courthouse and know that the south elevators are not the closest elevators to Courtroom 615, and therefore it appears that Flores-Ruiz and his counsel elected not to use the closest elevator bank to Courtroom 615.

My word, would you look at the corruption.

Eh for the record, Trump was never arrested, even in his four indictments. He was indicted then it was offered for him to show up for processing at an arranged time at his preference.

See this puzzles me too - why not send her to El Salvador? Y'all are going soft. You really want her to have an arraignment, pre-trial hearings, a jury?

The message consistently has been if you attempt to block ice from douig their job, you could be prosecuted for it.  Why is anyone surprised?

Based on what i am reading,  on CNN no less, she deliberately helped him evade arrest by ICE.

Disbarred at a minimum.
